Windows DVD Maker won't burn videos to Sony DVD+R's?

I went and bought a 50 pk of Sony DVD+r's and went to burn a video to it using Windows DVD Maker but I get a message saying something is wrong? I don't remember what the message says exactly but it doesn't help that's for sure. Should I try using a different program or what? I've burned videos to dvd's before but I ued Memorex DVD-RW's.
