Anybody else besides me think, Rakim still has something to prove?

just puttin things into perspective...IMO he has 1 clic album, and has plenty of influence among alot of rappers..However, he has I believe 2 or 3 solo albums? the last one coming 8 years ago..so for years, alot of listeners have let him sit atop of their top 10, 20, 30, etc. lists.. Do you think he has something to prove, like his next piece of work should be a statement solidifying his position?
