Development delay...?

i would ask for an early intervention evaluation. your daughter may delayed as children who spend alot of time in the hospital often will get a slow start because of lack of stimulation. if it is found she is delayd, they can start her with physical therapy and occupational therapy in home or in an outpatient rehab center. Try not to worry too much because all babies do develop at their own pace. but for your own piece of mind i would ask your doc to have her evaluated by a developmental specialist, early intervention or even a neurologist. i have a special needs child who is delayed and it can be scary, but try to be proactive and keep asking for the evaluations until you get what you want. when she is evaluated by a professional and they say all is okay, then sit back and just enjoy watching your baby grow. good luck to you.
