What happens if I use a fluorescent light bulb in an incandescent fixture?

My boss can't afford a new hood for our 10g aquarium. Currently we have an incandescent fixture. I have a fluorescent fixture at home but I am getting a new light bulb tomorrow. Could I use my old fluorescent bulb in my work aquarium even though it's an incandescent fixture?
