I think i am being scammed?

Ok... so my family has been trying to sell an entertainment center on a local site. We got an email from someone saying that they are interested asking if its still for sale. We said it is and they said thank you and stuff like that. They said they would pay through a bank certified check and that we should take the ad off of the site to "avoid any disturbances" They said the check would arrive via UPS next say services so it would have come on a Monday. Shortly after telling us when it would arrive they said that the accountant made a mistake and that they sent too much money because they needed to send a separate check to the moving company but accidentally sent it all to us, and if we would gladly deduct our money and send the rest to the movers. I dont know why but we agreed. Since then it has been a week and two days and we still have seen no check and we didnt hear anything from the buyer either, before two days ago. They said the check would come yesterday, which it didnt, and then today we got another email stating that we need to send the extra money to Malaysia?? I dont even know what to do! they said the check would defiantly be arriving today, which i doubt, but if it does i dont want the money anymore, I just want to forget this ever happened and maybe sell it to a family friend or something. What should I do? Is there anyway then can try and frame us for something that we didnt even do? like blame us for be fraudulent even though we have been honest the whole time? I dont even want to talk with this person anymore but i dont know what to say to them. Please help because i am pretty worried... :| I really don't want to be scammed
